Cancer screening
The purpose of cancer screening is to find cancers before they cause symptoms.
Screening is only used for certain types of cancer where there is a proven benefit from a safe and accurate test that can be used in a large number of people who do not have any symptoms.
There is no routine test available to screen for penile cancer.
It is recommended that men see their general practitioner early if they notice any changes on to the skin of penis, pain, discharge or bleeding. This is important as early detection of penile cancer is essential to preserve penile function.
