The Cancer Institute NSW was established under the Cancer Institute (NSW) Act 2003.
Our mission
To work together to lessen the impact of cancers.
Our vision
To end cancers as we know them.
Driven by the purpose and objectives of the NSW Cancer Plan, the Institute continuously works to:
- reduce the incidence of cancer in the community
- increase the survival of people with cancer
- improve the quality of life of people with cancer.
The NSW Cancer Plan is the blueprint for cancer control across the state and was developed in collaboration with health professionals and communities. It is the fourth NSW Cancer Plan and builds on the achievements of previous plans.
