The PROMPT-Care pilot is a local initiative in South Western Sydney and Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health Districts, helping to support people living with cancer both during and after treatment.

PROMPT-Care stands for Patient Reported Outcome Measures for Personalised Treatment and Care.

This pilot project captures information about a patient’s symptoms, distress, quality of life and unmet needs, to inform and provide self-management tools and resources.

This empowers people to provide direct feedback on their care to their clinicians in real time, ultimately improving the care they receive.

The Cancer Institute NSW and BUPA Health Foundation have funded the PROMPT-Care Pilot Project which is being lead by Professor Afaf Girgis from the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research.
