The Knockout is one of the most highly anticipated gatherings of Aboriginal people in NSW. Gudida will bring together government and community agencies focused on cultural health and wellbeing, placing Aboriginal culture at the centre of a modern-day corroboree.

About the Gudida Well-Being Precinct
Developed by Gudida partners the Newcastle Yowies, as Knockout hosts, and Worimi Local Aboriginal Land Council, as Cultural Custodians, Gudida will provide a culturally safe, intergenerational space for community to come together and connect through culture, health and wellbeing.
Across six yarning circles, people will be invited to share their stories, knowledge and experiences and take part in cultural activities including art, dance, weaving and beading.
Visitors can also access information about preventative health checks and speak with representatives from cancer prevention and screening services. Services available at the precinct will include free breast screening, cervical screening, health clinics and more.
Gudida provides an opportunity for honest conversations about health and wellbeing that are grounded in culture, community and Country. This community-led approach supports the priorities of the NSW Aboriginal Cancer Strategy, Caring for Kin and Country and our shared goal of achieving equitable cancer outcomes for Aboriginal people.
