Professor Michael David

Professor Michael David is the lead of the Research Methods Stream at The Daffodil Centre (DC), Cancer Council NSW, with stream members providing analytical, methodological and systematic review expertise to DC colleagues and collaborators in general. Professor David completed his PhD at the University of Queensland, after gaining undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in pure statistics and education at the University of Melbourne.

Since obtaining his doctorate, he has held tenured research and teaching positions at the School of Public Health, UQ and the School of Medicine and Public Health, The University of Newcastle. Consequently, his research collaborations extend to various institutions and cover a range of research topics, including educational measurement, and more recently, cancer prevention and control. These research collaborations have resulted in more than 200 conference and research papers, as well as competitive funding totalling more than $10M.
