Cancer incidence and mortality
The NSW Cancer Registry (NSWCR) is a population-based register that captures all cancers diagnosed in NSW residents and subsequent deaths with records of diagnoses and deaths from 1972 onwards.
Cancer incidence is the number of new cases of cancer diagnosed in a population, in a given time period. Cancer mortality is the number of deaths from cancer in a population, in a given time period.
