A new study is aiming to change the way ovarian cancer is treated in NSW, offering better outcomes for women with the disease.

New research led by Cancer Institute NSW fellow Dr Pradeep Tanwar is linking the combined oral contraceptive pill to reducing the risk of ovarian cancer in women.

February is National Ovarian Cancer Month – an opportunity to raise awareness about the prevalence of the disease amongst Australian women as well as the symptoms that signal ovarian cancer in its early stages.
