Recommended breast screening age lowered for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women
An Australian-first project delivered by Cancer Institute NSW is increasing participation in breast screening and improving breast cancer outcomes among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, by lowering the recommended commencement screening age from 50 to 40 years and increasing the cultural safety of the BreastScreen NSW service.
