The incidence of young onset colorectal cancer did not increase in NSW during 2001-2008. Despite more advanced disease at presentation, cancer-specific survival was better than for older patients with colorectal cancer.

Australia’s plain tobacco packs: anticipated and actual responses among adolescents and young adults
This research shows that plain packaging is turning young people off the habit. Result showed that a third (31%) of teens who had experimented with tobacco or previously smoked said that plain packs made them less likely to smoke again. It also found that 41 per cent of teen smokers either tried to quit or thought about quitting as a result of plain packs.
