Who produced this campaign?
This 60-second television commercial emphasises the health consequences of smoking by showing a man delivering the script and breathing exercise to camera. He engages the viewer by showing what it is like to have emphysema. The apparent discomfort reinforces what breathing is like in the later stages of emphysema. Smokers are reminded to think about the real health consequences of smoking and to quit smoking once and for all. The script for Emphysema TV was originally developed by Quit Victoria for a radio advertisement.
Quit smoking support is available through the iCanQuit.com.au and the NSW Quitline (13 7848).
