LGBTQ eLearning module: What we found - Knowledge acquisition and attainment of learning outcomes
We compared participants’ average response ratings to the pre- and post-training statements and found that the majority of participants (88%) reported increased knowledge, confidence and skills to understand and respond to the unique needs of LGBTQ communities (see Figure 1).
Figure 1: Means comparison (purple for pre-training; yellow for post-training); n=100
Knowledge, confidence and skills acquisition was also be demonstrated with 100% of participants indicating that the learning objectives were partially or entirely met (see Figure 2).
Figure 2: Participants’ ratings (in percentages) of attainment of learning outcomes (purple = entirely met; yellow = partially met); n=100
These findings indicate that participants have increased capability to respond to the unique needs of LGBTQ communities with cancer and provide care that meets their needs in a timely manner, with compassion and respect.
