We are delighted to have hosted the return of the NSW Premier’s Awards for Outstanding Cancer Research, a prestigious event that pays tribute to the remarkable accomplishments of individuals and teams within the cancer research community and those supporting innovation and cutting-edge delivery of care.
This annual event is a vibrant celebration of excellence and breakthroughs in cancer research and innovation. It honours outstanding achievements spanning academic research, advancements in cancer clinical outcomes, and the successful integration of innovation into top-tier care for the people of New South Wales.
This year, there were eight award categories. These categories highlight progress and success in line with the strategic goals of the NSW Cancer Plan.

Award winners
The following awards were presented to those working in the cancer research space with the shared goal of improving cancer prevention, treatment and care for all people in NSW:

Clinical Trials Unit, Melanoma Institute Australia - Winner of the 2024 Cancer Control Innovation Award
Zero Childhood Cancer Program - Winner of the Improving Equitable Outcomes through Cancer Research Award
