NSW Cancer Registry: What we found - Collaboration

Buy-in and ongoing collaboration is essential for implementing any major system change. All NSW local health districts (n = 15) and private cancer services (n = 27) are providing cancer data to the Registry with minimal manual intervention, using reporting processes that have been refined at each local health district.

The Registry team have established a regular and frequent feedback model with all (n = 41) Oncology Medical Information System (OMIS) stakeholders to support their submissions, and the quality assurance (QA) feedback has been consistent and collegial. The team have also provided change management support for data to be automatically submitted electronically (ePath).
